Tick Mitt for Pets!
Olivia Abrams knows all too well that our “fur babies” bring in unwanted critters like ticks that can create big trouble. The latest episode of the The Lyme Time Podcast gives Olivia an opportunity to tell her personal Lyme journey as a young adult and be a shining example of turning a horrible experience into the chance to help others. Co-inventor of the Tick Mitt with her father, this revolutionary Velcro-like mitten for animal fur/hair helps take the anxiety out of wondering if your pet just carried ticks into the house.
Just this week, Olivia and her father showed the world their Tick Mitts on the season 16 finale of ABC’s popular show Shark Tank to get the word out that there are simple things you can do to reduce exposure to Lyme and co-infections spread by ticks. She says it gives her pride to “give people their freedom back through a physical product”, and I couldn’t agree more. I’m a proud owner of this product and use it multiple times a day when I take my dogs to the lake. It seriously takes so much worry out of the equation. (Tick Mitt Kids is coming soon so our little ones can empower themselves as well).
