What does your living space say about you?
Now don’t get me wrong. My closet is not always an accurate representation of where I am in my life today. But why shouldn’t it be? I am healthy and happy! Some of the clothes in my closet used to represent what was never to be: a body of my past self, lots of Covid sweats, super high heels that actually hurt my feet, and things that I wore when I didn’t feel well. Time to let it all go and live in the present!
This special episode of Lyme Time is with guest Angela Howenstein, a wardrobe specialist who does that for you…a best girlfriend who asks, “Where are you going in that”? A person who gives practical advice for dressing for life.
What does this have to do with Lyme disease? A LOT. Many times we are fatigued or feeling isolated. We need to shift the energy. Even if you don’t consider yourself close to healed, you deserve to wake up and “feel” normal and guess what? It shifts you from giving up to showing up.
And, more importantly, someone in this world NEEDS YOUR CLOTHES. Gather them in a pile and drive them to a donation center. GIVE BACK. If you only have the energy for a drawer at a time, trust me, you will feel FULFILLED. You will feel a little more organized and in control. You will feel happy with yourself.
On the days where I could only shuffle over to my closet, I did. Then I took a piece of my closet and made the decision to shift my energy. I’m a big believer in mental shifts for mental health. Why not give it a try?
