Why Seeing a Biological Dentist is Imperative to Your Health

April 7, 2020

About 15 years ago, I realized how mercury fillings were detrimental to your health and started thinking about the correlation between teeth and health. I had all of my mercury fillings (I had a lot) removed by a dentist that was versed in properly removing mercury fillings. Then, after becoming sick with Chronic Lyme and not getting better, no matter what conventional or holistic treatment I tried, I came across this alternative health book about dental health. After reading the book, it was like a light bulb went off because it made total sense to me.  The health of teeth dictates the health of the whole body because of the direct access to the bloodstream. I went in headfirst and learned everything I could about non-conventional dentistry also referred to as Biological Dentistry.

There are four central beliefs in Biological Dentistry that lead to healthy teeth and a healthy immune system without compromising your health.

4 Tenets of Biological Dentistry:

1) Mercury Fillings should not be in your mouth- Mercury fillings are the “silver” fillings that 85% of us have as fillings. According to The World Health Organization, there is no known safe level of mercury for humans.

2) Do not use Fluoride.  I know this is against everything we believe to be true, but fluoride is an industrial by-product. During the industrial revolution, the government did not know what to do with it, so it started putting it in the municipal water supply and validated it by claiming that it would prevent cavities. But the fluoride that was proven to avoid staining and cavities of the teeth was natural, not by-product waste. The government did not think to look into the long term effects for your health or brain.

3) Cavitations. These are infections in your mouth that are caused by the removal of your wisdom teeth. If not closed properly, which most conventional doctors do not, they, over time, become a “cesspool” for bacteria, parasites, and viruses to hide and thrive and jawbones to rot.

4. Root Canals. Along the same line as cavitation, root canals are dead teeth that have been left in your mouth to allow bacteria to thrive and emit toxins to your bloodstream. It is like having a hot tub in your mouth without the chlorine to contain the overgrowth. Dr. Weston Price completed a clinical study over 100 years ago, and I was shocked when I read it. He was the leading dentist at the time and decided to remove a patient’s root canal that had been wheelchair-bound from arthritis. Then he took the root canal tooth and inserted it under a rabbit’s skin. Within two days, the rabbit showed signs of arthritis and died from the infection within ten days. Miraculously, the woman who had the root canal removed, was relieved from her arthritis and started walking again. He continued to do similar studies, and each time he got the same result. It is still astonishing to me how not many people are aware of how detrimental root canals are to your health.

From my personal experience, when I had my cavitation opened, cleaned, and filled correctly, and my root canal removed, my health starting improving. My doctor sent tissue samples to a lab to measure the bacteria and viruses in my mouth. Many were found and at a very high toxic level. Also, the bone by the cavitations was rotten. To think all this dead bone and toxic bacteria were in my head next to my brain with direct access to my bloodstream was frightening. If you have not gone to a holistic or Biological dentist, I strongly encourage you to do so.

Biological dentists are conventional dentists but have a deep understanding of how your mouth impacts your overall health. They also take into consideration the impact of any materials they use on your teeth. You can find a local holistic or biological dentist by going to the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine website. The first thing I ask when I call a dentist office is if they use fluoride. I know right away if they say yes, it is not truly a holistic dentist office.  Do your research and question everything…

Mimi
