PEMF Therapy and Lyme

March 24, 2020

My PEMF mat is one of my go-to at-home treatments for Lyme. It is considered one of the safe and non-invasive modalities to help with Lyme. Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy uses low-level electromagnetic radiation as a non-invasive way to treat injuries, chronic pain, and chronic illnesses. It also produces infrared waves, which activate and enhance the body’s circulatory, endocrine, nervous, and lymphatic systems.

Research has shown that a drop in cell charge occurs before almost any disease in the body. Cells that are infiltrated by the active infection of Lyme Disease spirochetes get damaged, ultimately releasing the disease into the body.  Sending pulsed electromagnetic fields into the body produces negative ions, which allows the body to bring those cell charges back up to restore normal electrochemical exchanges and open-cell channels, enabling more nutrients to enter and waste to leave. By balancing the energy of the cell membrane, the cell will be healthier and more resistant to the hidden forms of Lyme Disease in the cell.

PEMF therapy may relieve many of the symptoms from Chronic Lyme such as:

  • chronic pain
  • improve functionality in my joints
  • improve sleep
  • reduce inflammation
  • stimulate organs
  • regenerate nerves
  • increase energy levels
  • reduce stress & fatigue
  • support relaxation

You can do PEMF therapy with a professional, such as a chiropractor, or you can get a PEMF device to use at home. Like many Lyme treatments, PEMF is not covered by insurance, so paying per session can add up. I decided to purchase my own PEMF mat.

I love this particular brand because it offers a 4 in 1 technology. Not only are you getting PEMF technology, but you are also receiving Heat Stone Therapy with Amethyst stones, Far Infrared Therapy, Negative Ion Therapy, and Photon Therapy. I love multitasking, so usually, I lay the mat on my chair for a little bit throughout the day while I’m sitting at my desk working at home or in my bed at night when I am reading.

Take a look at Dr. Weil’s video about PEMF Therapy for more information.

xx,

Mimi
